PM Haq’s Tribute to Bureaucracy: Merit-Based Work Lauded Amid Challenges,

Muzaffarabad-(Special Correspondent)-Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Chaudhry Anwarul Haq praised the bureaucracy for its efforts in working on merit, overcoming obstacles of race, region, and tribalism. He acknowledged the challenges faced by the bureaucracy during its 20-month tenure, including criticism and rumors of his own departure. Haq emphasized the importance of working with courage, regardless of position, and commended former Chief Secretary Dawood Muhammad Barich for his exceptional courage and commitment to their work .

Haq expressed his gratitude for the beautiful memories left behind by Barich and acknowledged the significance of their working relationship, which was built on trust and respect. He also welcomed the newly appointed Chief Secretary, retired Flight Lieutenant Khushal Khan, and expressed his confidence in Khan’s abilities.

The Prime Minister’s comments came during a ceremony held in honor of former Chief Secretary Dawood Muhammad Barich in Muzaffarabad. The event was attended by various dignitaries, including Speaker Azad Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly Chaudhry Latif Akbar, Most Senior Minister Colonel (retd) Waqar Ahmed Anwar, and Deputy Speaker Azad Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly Chaudhry Riaz.

Haq also reflected on the difficulties faced by the government due to clashes with the status quo. He emphasized the importance of leadership and the need for leaders to pay the price for their work. Haq praised Barich for leaving behind a legacy of beautiful memories and acknowledged the significance of character in leadership.

In his address, former Chief Secretary Dawood Muhammad Barich thanked the Prime Minister for organizing the ceremony. He expressed his gratitude for the support provided by the cabinet, the most senior minister, and the Prime Minister during his tenure. Barich emphasized the importance of trust and respect in teamwork and highlighted the government’s achievements in solving problems and restarting projects.

The ceremony also featured the presentation of gifts and shields to former Chief Secretary Dawood Muhammad Barich by Prime Minister Chaudhry Anwarul Haq, Most Senior Minister Colonel (retd) Waqar Ahmed Noor, and Additional Chief Secretary General Ms. Midhat Shahzad.

In a separate statement, Prime Minister Chaudhry Anwarul Haq paid tribute to Hazrat Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah on his birth anniversary. Haq praised Jinnah’s leadership and vision, which led to the creation of Pakistan. He acknowledged Jinnah’s declaration of Kashmir as the jugular vein of Pakistan and expressed his admiration for the Kashmiri people’s resilience in the face of oppression.

Haq reiterated his commitment to the Kashmiri people’s right to self-determination and expressed his confidence that occupied Kashmir would eventually become independent and part of Pakistan. He saluted the Kashmiris for their bravery and determination in the face of adversity.
