PPP Government to Raise Kashmir Issue at Global Forums

Islamabad: Marking thirty days in office, the AJK premier Faisal Mumtaz Rathore has reiterated his government’s commitment to transparency, merit and public service.

Speaking to various delegations here on Tuesday, the Prime Minister said that soon after assuming office, the government put in place a clear policy framework for health, education, energy, road infrastructure, employment generation and administrative reforms.

During the past thirty days, he noted that effective mechanisms have been introduced to improve discipline within government departments, make public offices more responsive and ensure the timely redressal of public grievances.

Ministers and officers, he said, have also been directed to remain accessible to the public and address issues forthwith.

Highlighting key priority areas of his government, Prime Minister Faisal Mumtaz Rathore said the health and education sectors are receiving focused attention, with steps underway to improve facilities at basic health centres, hospitals and educational institutions.

He further said that special schemes are being planned to create employment and skill-building opportunities for youth. He said the government would announce additional public welfare initiatives in the coming days and reaffirmed its resolve to steer Azad Kashmir towards development, prosperity and stability.

Referring to the Kashmir issue, Faisal Mumtaz Rathore said the PPP government would actively promote the Kashmir cause at international forums.

He stated that raising concern over Indian brutalities in occupied Jammu and Kashmir remains a constitutional, moral and political obligation of the base camp government.
