AJK Elections to Be Held in Three Phases, Announces Chief Election Commissioner
The final phase of polling in the Poonch Division will take place on August 10.
MUZAFFARABAD: (Mudassar Iqbal) – Chief Election Commissioner of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Mustafa Mughal, has announced that the upcoming AJK general elections will be conducted in three phases.
Addressing a press conference on Tuesday, Mustafa Mughal said polling in the Mirpur Division will be held on July 27, followed by elections in the Muzaffarabad Division on August 2. The final phase of polling in the Poonch Division will take place on August 10.
The Chief Election Commissioner said the phased election schedule has been finalized to ensure smooth, transparent and well-organized polling across the region.
He urged all political parties, candidates and voters to cooperate with the Election Commission and abide by the electoral code of conduct to ensure peaceful and fair elections.
