Pakistani Bowler Aizaz-ur-Rehman Wins Pak-China Friendship Ten-Pin Championship

ISLAMABAD: (Mudassar Ch/ Web Desk) – Pakistani bowler Aizaz-ur-Rehman emerged victorious in the Pak-China Friendship Ten-Pin Bowling Championship, held at Laser City Bowling Club, Safa Gold, F-7, Islamabad. Afzal Akhtar secured second place, while Daniyal Ijaz finished third.

The colorful championship opening ceremony was attended by dignitaries including Mustafa Hassan, Minister and Head of Mission at the Nigerian Embassy; Mr. Chen Peng, Counselor at the Chinese Embassy; Shahid Islam, Deputy DG of Pakistan Sports Board; Muhammad Amjad Hassan Qureshi, Patron of Pakistan Ten-Pin Bowling Federation; Aizaz-ur-Rehman, President of the Federation and Chairman of the Organizing Committee; Colonel (Retd.) Kamran Khalid Janjua, General Secretary; and Altaf Hussain.

During the friendly matches of the championship, Aizaz-ur-Rehman scored 217 points, followed by Afzal Akhtar with 186 points and Daniyal Ijaz with 172 points. Haroon and Muhammad Hussain secured fourth and fifth positions, respectively.

The championship also features ongoing women’s matches and sees participation from 20 players each from Pakistan and China, celebrating sportsmanship and strengthening Pak-China friendship. Various artists and singers performed during the event, adding to the festive atmosphere.
