Aisha Gaddafi’s Alleged Message to Iranians Warns Against Trusting the West
The message warns Iranians against trusting Western assurances
BAGHDAD: (Web Desk) : A message circulating on social media and various online platforms, attributed to Aisha Gaddafi, has drawn attention after it urged the people of Iran not to trust Western powers and warned against making concessions in negotiations.
In the widely shared statement, the daughter of former Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi—who is reported to be living in exile in Oman—addresses what she calls the “steadfast and freedom-loving people of Iran.” She claims to speak from the experience of witnessing the destruction of her country after what she described as deceptive promises from Western countries.
According to the message, Western leaders had once told her father that if Libya abandoned its nuclear and missile programs, the country would be welcomed back into the international community. However, the statement argues that events later unfolded differently, referring to the NATO intervention during the 2011 Libyan conflict that led to the collapse of Gaddafi’s government.

The message warns Iranians against trusting Western assurances, saying that “negotiating with a wolf will not save the sheep or bring lasting peace—it only sets the date for the next meal.” It also praises Iran’s resilience in the face of sanctions and economic pressure.
The statement further claims that countries which resisted external pressure—such as Cuba, Venezuela, and North Korea—remained respected in history, while those that made concessions faced destruction.
However, reports indicate that Aisha Gaddafi has denied authorship of the message, stating that the statement circulating online was falsely attributed to her and urging media outlets and social media users to verify information before sharing it.
