Airlines Raise Ticket Fares As Jet Fuel Prices Surge Pakistan

Sharp rise in jet fuel prices pushes airlines to increase fares on domestic and international flights in Pakistan.

Airlines Ticket – (Web Desk) – Airlines in Pakistan have raised ticket prices for both local and international flights after a sharp rise in jet fuel costs. The price of jet fuel has increased by about 82 percent and has reached around Rs342 per liter.

Airline sources say fares for domestic flights from Karachi to major cities such as Lahore and Islamabad have gone up. Passengers traveling on these routes are now paying more for their tickets.

On many domestic flights, ticket prices have increased between Rs2,800 and Rs5,000. Airlines say the rise in fuel cost has made flight operations more expensive.

The increase in fares comes during a difficult time for the aviation sector. The ongoing conflict in the Middle East has affected flight schedules and created uncertainty in the region.

On the 11th day of the conflict, about 85 flights between Pakistan and several Middle Eastern destinations were cancelled. This also caused delays and travel problems for many passengers.

Sources also say ticket prices for international routes have increased. Depending on the destination, fares have gone up between Rs10,000 and Rs28,000. Airlines say these changes were necessary because of higher fuel prices and the current regional situation.

Flights from Pakistan to countries in the Middle East and Central Asia have seen fare increases of up to Rs. 15,000 per ticket.

The fare increases follow a significant rise in jet fuel prices in Pakistan. Sources said the price of jet fuel has increased by Rs. 154 per liter, raising the price to Rs. 342 per liter.
