Operation Ghazab Lil Haq Inflicts Heavy Militant Losses

ISLAMABAD: (Web Desk) – During Operation Ghazab lil-Haq, security forces have reportedly inflicted heavy losses on Afghan Taliban fighters.

According to updates shared by Attaullah Tarar on his account on X, a total of 583 militants have been killed and more than 795 injured since the operation began.

The minister said security forces destroyed 242 check posts, while 38 additional posts were captured and later demolished during the operation.

He further stated that 213 tanks, armored vehicles, and artillery guns were destroyed as part of the offensive.

Air strikes also targeted 64 different locations across Afghanistan, aiming to dismantle militant infrastructure and operational bases.

While,

Security forces killed 13 Indian-backed Khawarij militants in intelligence-based operations in different areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), on March 6 and 7, security forces carried out five separate operations in different areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on intelligence-based operations. During these operations, 13 Indian-backed Khawarij militants were killed in clashes.

The ISPR said that during the intelligence-based operation in Bajaur district, the Khawarij hideout was effectively targeted. After an intense exchange of fire, 5 Khawarij militants were killed, while 3 Khawarij militants of Fitna al-Khawarij were killed during operations in Bannu and Dera Ismail Khan.

According to the Public Relations Department, 5 Khawarij were also killed during 2 clashes in Khyber district and South Waziristan, arms and ammunition were also recovered from the Indian-sponsored Khawarij, the killed Khawarij were involved in several terrorist acts in the area.

The ISP further said that despite the challenges faced on the Afghanistan border, counter-terrorism operations are ongoing and Pakistan’s security forces are determined and steadfast to defend the country’s borders.

The Public Relations Department of the Pakistan Army says that operations are underway to eliminate terrorism under the sanitization operation “Azm-e-Iqraat” to eliminate the Indian-sponsored Khawarij present in the area. The security forces and law enforcement agencies will continue operations until the complete elimination of terrorism.
