Karachi-Air Ambulance Service Takes Off in Sindh, The Local Government Council Association (LGCA) and Aircraft Company ASSL have signed an agreement to launch a free Air Ambulance Service in Sindh. The ceremony, held at the old terminal of Jinnah International Airport on Monday, was attended by Sindh Local Government Minister Saeed Ghani, Energy Minister Syed Nasir Shah, and other dignitaries.

As per the agreement, ASSL will provide air ambulance facilities to the people of Sindh, with an initial focus on Northern Sindh and plans to expand to Southern parts of the province. The service aims to transport critical patients from districts like Ghotki, Sukkur, and Khairpur to Karachi, saving precious lives.

In the first phase, district councils of Ghotki, Sukkur, and Khairpur have signed agreements with ASSL, with other districts to follow soon. ASSL will operate five free flights per month, ensuring timely medical attention for those in need.

Minister Saeed Ghani emphasized the significance of this project, citing the vision of PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari. He highlighted the potential to save lives by transporting critical patients to Karachi, with plans to extend the service to Hyderabad, Nawabshah, Larkana, and Tharparkar.

Chairman Local Council Association Sindh Syed Kumail Haider Shah and CEO Airlift Sales and Services Limited Akbar Jaffery also spoke at the ceremony, underscoring the importance of this public-private partnership in revolutionizing emergency medical care in Sindh.
