Air Ambulance Service on Motorways in the Pipeline: Abdul Aleem Khan

Kazan: Federal Minister for Communications, Abdul Aleem Khan, has announced that work is underway to launch an Air Ambulance Service on Pakistan’s Motorways and National Highways. The initiative aims to ensure rapid medical response and transportation for individuals injured in road accidents, minimizing delays in critical care.

Speaking during his visit to the Expo Center at the conclusion of the Kazan Forum in Tatarstan, the minister highlighted the urgent need for such a service, citing the high number of fatalities caused by delayed medical assistance following traffic incidents. He emphasized the government’s responsibility to improve emergency response systems and ensure swift hospital transfers.

The minister praised the advanced Air Ambulance Service in Kazan, calling it a model that could be replicated in Pakistan. “Kazan’s development model offers valuable insights, particularly in health and emergency response infrastructure. It’s a learning opportunity we are keen to build upon,” he said.

Abdul Aleem Khan also reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to upgrading its transportation network and raising public awareness on digital initiatives such as e-tagging. He noted that ongoing enhancements in infrastructure are crucial for improving overall road safety and service delivery.

Referring to the broader outcomes of the Kazan Forum, the minister described the event as a valuable platform for Pakistan, especially in fostering cooperation in the Communications Sector. He underlined the significance of improving land connectivity with Central Asian states and shared that fruitful discussions were held with various stakeholders on this front.

During the Expo Center visit, the Pakistani delegation, including Abdul Aleem Khan, received detailed briefings on the operations and support systems enabling Kazan’s Air Ambulance Service—knowledge that could directly inform Pakistan’s implementation strategy.
