Ahtesham and Hajra Shine Bright as Junior Tennis Championship Ends on a High in Lahore

Junior National Tennis Championship 2026 – (Web Desk) – Ahtesham Humayun of Crescent School and Hajra Sohail of SICAS had a day to remember. Both players clinched two titles each at the Servis Tyres Junior National Tennis Championship 2026. The event wrapped up on a thrilling note at the Punjab Tennis Academy, Bagh-e-Jinnah, Lahore.

Ahtesham was simply brilliant in the boys U-18 singles final. He kept his cool throughout and beat Amir Mazari 6-4, 7-5. It was a tight match but Ahtesham rose to every big moment. He never looked flustered and played some really smart tennis when it mattered most. Earlier in the day, he had teamed up with the same Amir Mazari to win the U-18 doubles title. The pair beat M. Yahya and Inam Qadir 6-2, 6-3 to seal that one comfortably.

Hajra Sohail was the standout performer on the girls side. She was simply a class apart. In the U-18 final she swept past Bismil Zia 6-1, 6-0. It was a dominant display from start to finish. She then stepped into the U-14 category and beat Khadija Khalil 5-4, 4-2 to complete a brilliant double. Two titles in one day is no small achievement.

Shayan Afridi from Peshawar was another player who caught the eye. He beat Muhammad Aayan 4-1, 4-1 in the boys U-14 final. Calm and focused throughout. He is clearly one to watch from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The boys U-12 final gave the crowd a real treat. Mustafa Uzair Rana and Muhammad Faizan pushed each other hard across three sets before Mustafa edged it 4-1, 1-4, 4-2. A gutsy win for the youngster.

Meanwhile, in the girls’ U-12 final, Eman Shahbaz secured a convincing 4-1, 4-1 victory over Shahnoor Umer. In the U-10 mixed category final, Ibrahim Leghari defeated Hashir Mustafa 6-2, demonstrating impressive control and confidence for his age.
