New Rules for Afghan Citizens in Khyber

Pak – Afghan – (Special Correspondent / Web Desk) -Local leaders in Khyber have received new rules from the government. All Afghan citizens living there must now get a passport from their home country. They are also told to follow all local laws while doing business.

At a meeting with community elders, officials explained the new requirements. They stated that the old registration cards are no longer enough. Every Afghan national must also have a valid passport with an official Pakistani visa stamp.

The officials set a firm deadline of August 31st for everyone to get the correct papers. Anyone who does.

In a separate event, a man from Landi Kotal named Abu Bakar has made a serious complaint. He says a local official, Tehsildar Taimur Afridi, unfairly jailed his brother over a money argument.

Speaking at a press club, Abu Bakar called for an investigation. He insists his family has no money issues with the official and demands his brother’s immediate release.
