Adnan Dani Hanjra, Once Considered a Symbol of Fear, Killed by Associates’ Gunfire
Hafizabad — Adnan, known as Dani Hanjra and regarded as a symbol of fear in the district, was killed after his own associates opened fire during an attack on the Crime Control Department (CCD) police team.
According to reports, Dani Hanjra was involved in numerous crimes, including extortion, murder and attempted murder. He had even killed a father and son for refusing to pay extortion. The suspect had arrived in Peshawar from South Africa a day earlier, where CCD police detained him at the airport. Shortly after, his accomplices attacked the police team, during which he was fatally shot by their own gunfire. Police have moved the body to a hospital and initiated legal action against the unidentified attackers.
In a separate incident, Head Constable Usman Aslam was injured when motorway robbery suspects opened fire. He was shifted to the hospital, where he is receiving medical treatment. Authorities say the Crime Control Department in Hafizabad is actively bringing criminal elements to justice, and four suspects involved in motorway robberies were eliminated a day earlier.
