In a recent interview, Zampa shared that the IPL demanded a significant time commitment but did not offer compensation he felt matched his abilities, which ultimately influenced his decision to leave the tournament.

He explained that after exiting the IPL, he had considered taking a short break from professional cricket. However, an unexpected opportunity to join the PSL came his way, and he decided to take it. Since joining Karachi Kings, Zampa has delivered notable performances and spoken highly about the overall standard of the PSL. He also praised Shaheen Afridi, captain of Lahore Qalandars, describing him as an exceptional bowler who brings excitement with every delivery.
