Actors Cannot Avoid Public Attention: Zoya Nasir

ISLAMABAD: (Showbiz Desk) – Actress and beautician Zoya Nasir has shared her views on the relationship between actors and their audiences, saying public attention is naturally part of working in the entertainment industry.

Speaking during a discussion, Zoya said actors who choose showbiz should understand that their performances and characters will be watched, discussed and recognised by audiences.

She questioned the idea that actors can enter the entertainment industry while completely avoiding attention or recognition. According to her, an actor’s work needs to connect with viewers, and it can be difficult for a performance to have an impact if audiences do not recognise the person delivering it.

Zoya explained that the very nature of “show business” involves presenting one’s work to an audience. For this reason, she believes public interest and attention are an unavoidable part of an actor’s professional life.

She also highlighted the important role audiences play in an actor’s career, saying viewers contribute significantly to an actor’s public identity and professional success.

At the same time, Zoya acknowledged that actors can experience difficult days and may occasionally encounter people who communicate or behave inappropriately. Despite these experiences, she said actors should maintain an overall attitude of gratitude towards their audiences.

Zoya made her acting debut in the 2019 drama Hania and has since appeared in a number of television projects. Her credits include Mere Humsafar, in which she played Sameen, Kaffara, where she portrayed Nimme, and Noor Jahan, in which she appeared as Maha.

In 2026, she is appearing as Shareen in Bas Tera Saath Ho, alongside Farhan Saeed and Sana Javed.

Alongside acting, Zoya is a trained cosmetologist and entrepreneur. She also runs Sasha’s by Zoya Nasir, a salon in Lahore.
