Abacus Hosts British High Commission Delegation to Boost UK-Pakistan Tech Collaboration

Lahore  – In a significant move to foster deeper technology and economic ties between the United Kingdom and Pakistan, Abacus, a leading provider of technology, outsourcing, and consulting services, hosted a high-level delegation from the British High Commission at its Lahore BPO office on May 24, 2025.

The delegation was led by Her Excellency Jane Marriott CMG OBE, British High Commissioner to Pakistan, accompanied by Mr. Ben Warrington, Head of the Lahore Office, and Mrs. Reema Salman, Chevening Alumni Engagement Officer. Their visit emphasized the shared commitment to innovation, skills development, and cross-border technology growth between the two nations.

During the visit, the British delegation held strategic discussions with senior Abacus leadership including Ms. Fatima Asad-Said, CEO of Abacus; Faeza Khan, Chief Strategy Officer; and Shaheryar Rafiq Butt, Global Head of the BPO Division. The dialogue centered on enhancing IT collaboration, leveraging AI-powered technologies, and identifying scalable opportunities in the UK market.

The talks also explored UK-supported initiatives that could accelerate Abacus’s expansion, with a particular focus on talent development, digital transformation, and joint ventures with British firms. The delegation toured Abacus’s advanced outsourcing facilities, gaining insights into its innovative infrastructure and operational capabilities.
