Rawalpindi: In the ongoing legal proceedings concerning the alleged illegal marriage case involving the founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Bushra Bibi, an important development unfolded after the completion of cross-examination.

Both, the founder of PTI and Bushra Bibi, demanded to take an oath on the Quran once again.

In the courtroom of Adiala Jail in Rawalpindi, Senior Civil Judge Qudratullah Niazi presided over the marriage case involving Bushra Bibi and the founder of PTI, both of whom were present during the proceedings.

Tensions ran high during the hearing, leading to a heated exchange between the Imran Khan, Bushra Bibi, and Khawar Manika. Addressing Judge Qudratullah, the PTI founder asserted their willingness to swear on the Holy Quran, challenging Khawar Manika to do the same.

The PTI founder affirmed having seen Bushra Bibi on their wedding day, prepared to take the oath on the Quran. Bushra Bibi emphasized, “Without my statement, the court cannot make any decision.”

During the proceedings, references to religious texts were made, with Bushra Bibi pointing out, “The hypocrite and Satan are called evil in the Qur’an.”

In response, Khawar Manika accused the PTI founder of falsehood, urging them to fear God and lamenting the destruction of his household. Arguing with Bushra Bibi, he expressed frustration, stating, “The children got tired of asking questions, and you didn’t answer.” He further added, “Little daughter wakes up and cries at night. You ruined my home and children.”

Bushra Bibi, wife of former PTI chairman Imran Khan, broke her silence for the first time while speaking to journalists in Adiala Jail after the hearing of the illegal marriage case.

In a defiant tone, Bushra Bibi asserted, “If I have been sent to Bani Gala under a deal, cancel the deal, and put me in jail.” She expressed suspicion, stating, “I feel like this is all a plan to humiliate me.”

“My house has been turned into a prison; it is not a hotel,” expressed Bushra Bibi, emphasizing the restrictive conditions she faces. “We are not cowards; we are true people. We have not done anything wrong in life,” she asserted, defending her integrity.

The former first lady shared insights into her situation, stating, “A person has come to jail for self-arrest, and what can happen.” She lamented the transformation of her home into what she described as a jail, asserting, “Our faith is strong, and we are standing here because of faith.”

Recalling her journey to Adiala Jail, Bushra Bibi revealed the confusion surrounding her situation, mentioning. “I was told that I was being taken to a small rest house.” She acknowledged the involvement of multiple individuals in negotiations but expressed her determination, asserting, “I am not a weak woman.”

Closing her remarks with a reference to religious teachings, she quoted, “In the Holy Qur’an, Allah has hated the hypocrite and the devil. Goodness is not in the beard and the veil.” Bushra Bibi’s candid statements offer a glimpse into her perspective amidst the legal and public scrutiny.

Barrister Gohar Ali Khan Raises Concerns Over Alleged Unlawful Court Decisions

Rawalpindi: Barrister Gohar, the chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), has voiced concerns over what he claims to be unlawful court decisions.

Speaking to journalists outside Adiala Jail, Barrister Gohar stated that while lawyers were present, they were not given an opportunity despite requests. He alleged that the judge displayed statements related to the accused’s Section 342 on his mobile phone, despite their objections.

He further asserted that the judge’s decision did not accurately reflect the involvement of PTI lawyers, who are consistently present in court and punctual. He emphasized that they were not being given a fair chance.

Barrister Gohar expressed dismay over what he perceived as unlawful court decisions, noting that the lawyers were not provided with the necessary documents. He accused the opposing lawyers of continuously appearing against them and being part of the prosecution team.

The chairman of PTI’s remarks shed light on his concerns regarding what he sees as irregularities in the legal proceedings, emphasizing the need for a fair and just legal system.
