
COAS praised the operational preparedness of PAF
RAWALPINDI: A momentous Induction and Operationalization Ceremony took place at a Pakistan Air Force operational base today. General Syed Asim Munir, NI (M), Chief of Army Staff, graced the event as the Chief Guest. The ceremony, attended by Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu, Chief of the Air Staff, Pakistan Air Force, showcased the newly integrated weapon systems and defense assets of the PAF.
Upon his arrival, the Chief of Army Staff was accorded a Guard of Honour by a meticulously turned-out contingent of the Pakistan Air Force.
In his address, Air Chief Marshal Sidhu highlighted the recent additions to the PAF’s arsenal, including J-10C fighter jets, air mobility platforms, modern radars, unmanned aerial systems, loitering munition capabilities, and long-range vectors. These additions have significantly bolstered the country’s aerial defense capabilities. He also pointed out the establishment of the Center of Excellence for Air Mobility & Aviation Safety, the College of Air Defense, and the revitalization of the Air Power Centre of Excellence. The operationalization of the National Aerospace Science and Technology Park has further equipped the PAF to meet evolving challenges in the defense landscape. He underscored PAF’s strides in emerging domains like cyber and space technologies for ensuring an impregnable defense.
In his speech, General Asim Munir praised the operational preparedness of the Pakistan Air Force, acknowledging its incorporation of state-of-the-art weapon systems that contribute significantly to maintaining the balance of power in the region. Emphasizing the importance of indigenization and human resource development, he endorsed PAF’s commitment to technological advancements and operational excellence. He reassured that the Armed Forces of Pakistan are fully prepared to thwart any aggression. General Munir also commended PAF’s humanitarian efforts, particularly the transportation of relief goods for the victims of the Gaza conflict.

The ceremony concluded with a spectacular airshow featuring various PAF fighter jets, training aircraft, and UAVs. The Chief Guest and attendees later had the opportunity to witness a static display showcasing the diverse PAF fighter, air mobility, and UAV fleet.
