Babar Azam is going to play his 100th ODI match against New Zealand
Karachi: (Sports Reporter) Babar Azam, the captain of the national cricket team and the holder of countless records, is going to play his 100th ODI match against New Zealand today.
According to the source, the last match of the five-match series between Pakistan and New Zealand will be played in Karachi today, which will be the 100th one-day match of skipper Babar Azam’s career.
As per details in this regard, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) shared the video of Babar Azam in 2015 when he made his debut in ODI matches while reminiscing the past. The caption of the video reads ‘Babar Azam is all set to play his 100th ODI, let’s celebrate by watching his first innings 60 in 2015′. Babar scored a half-century off 54 balls in this match and got out after scoring 54 runs off 60 balls.
Furthermore Babar Azam said that “he used to eat samosas by saving money after not paying the bus fare due to rush. He had no bus fare to go to the academy and he used to go on foot and sometimes he used to eat samosas with the money saved by not paying the fare due to the rush in the bus.”
Moreover an interview of Babar Azam has been shared on the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) YouTube channel, in which Babar Azam can be seen discussing the ups and downs of his cricketing journey.
