Punjab Anti-corruption agency arrested again Muhammad Khan Bhatti
Lahore: (Staff Reporter) The Punjab anti-corruption agency, once again arrested Muhammad Khan Bhatti, the principal secretary of former Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Parvez Elahi. The arrest comes after Mr Bhatti was released on bail in an illegal recruitment case.
According to the source, the anti-corruption agency accused Mr. Bhatti of awarding contracts to favored individuals for the construction of a road in Mandi Bahauddin. He was accused of using substandard materials in the construction of the road and awarding contracts at higher rates than the market value.
As per details this is not the first time that Mr Bhatti was arrested by the anti-corruption agency. He was previously detained in connection with another corruption case, which also involved illegal recruitments.
