ThinkFest’s first day emblazons audience’s intellect on multiple topics

Lahore: (Staff Reporter) ThinkFest 2023, on the first day of its inception, conducted multiple sessions on the topics of arts, education, politics, and social issues. The festival, conducted by the University of Central Punjab (UCP) at Alhamra Arts Council, emblazoned the intellectual capacities of the attendants on challenging truth, Jinnah’s role in the history, effects of development projects on the environment among others. The attendants admired the festival for its lively discussions on diverse topics.
According to the source, the first session saw discussions on “Challenging Truth” addressed by educationists Mohisn Hamid, and Dr Wasim Anwar. In the second session, a book titled “Jinnah’s role in development and history” was launched. Dr Ishtiaq Ahmad, and Barrister Asad Rahim Khan discussed the contents of the book in a separate session moderated by lawyer Salman Akram Raja.
As per details in another session, the topic of “Geo-economics and National Security Strategy” was discussed. Former Assistant to PM on National Security Dr Moeed Yusuf participated as panelist and senior fellow CSSRP Ijaz Haider moderated the session.
Furthermore the fourth session brought the issue of “Environmental challenges to Lahore” to light. Environmental lawyer Rafay Alam, and Faisal Naqvi participated as panelists.
