Lahore: (Web Desk) Two policemen embraced martyrdom in an encounter with dacoits in Manga Mandi near Lahore. A spokesman for police said that some dacoits were looting people near Shamkay Bhattian, Manga Mandi when a police patrol reached there. Upon seeing police personnel, the dacoits opened fire due to which two police officials were martyred while another was wounded.
According to the sources, the deceased police officials were identified as ASI Muhammad Asim and Constable Muhammad Shahid. The dacoits managed to escape from the scene after the incident.
As per details, later Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Ghulam Mahmood Dogar reached the crime scene and directed the officials to arrest the dacoits involved in the firing.
