A traditional Dhachi dance was performed to welcome the chief minister, while young people and shopkeepers showered her vehicle with flower petals. Rose petals decorated the streets as women and children gathered along the route to greet her.
The main bazaar has been upgraded with the installation of tuff tiles, streetlights and library booths as part of efforts to improve the area.
During her visit, Maryam Nawaz also formally inaugurated the Green Bus project for Attock. At her invitation, students performed the inauguration ceremony, after which she inspected an electric bus.
The project aims to provide residents with access to modern public transport facilities. A fleet of 15 buses is operating on three routes across the city.
