QUETTA: (Staff Reporter) – The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) has killed 10 suspected militants in an intelligence-based operation in Balochistan’s Barkhan district.

The operation was carried out in the Rahrah Rashim area after authorities received what officials described as credible intelligence about the presence of militants. According to the report, CTD personnel also recovered a substantial quantity of weapons, ammunition and explosives from the site.

Two CTD personnel were injured during the operation. Further details about the recovered weapons and explosive material were not immediately available.

Provincial Home Department Adviser Babar Yousafzai paid tribute to the police, CTD and other security institutions for their sacrifices in combating terrorism. He said the nation stood alongside law enforcement agencies in their efforts to maintain peace and security.

Yousafzai reiterated the government’s resolve to continue action against elements it considers a threat to peace in Balochistan. Security forces, police and the CTD remain engaged in intelligence-based operations across the province amid continuing security challenges.
