Ishaq Dar, Jane Marriott Discuss Pakistan-UK Ties and Regional Situation
Ishaq Dar Meets British High Commissioner Jane Marriott
ISLAMABAD: British High Commissioner to Pakistan Jane Marriott called on Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Muhammad Ishaq Dar in Islamabad on Saturday.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed Pakistan-UK relations and reviewed ways to further strengthen bilateral cooperation.
Both sides welcomed the positive momentum in bilateral ties and exchanged views on upcoming engagements aimed at carrying the growing cooperation forward.
The deputy prime minister and foreign minister also briefed the British envoy on the evolving regional situation. Ishaq Dar stressed the importance of continued efforts to reduce tensions and reaffirmed Pakistan’s position that dialogue and diplomacy remain the only viable way forward.
