Security Forces Kill 11 Militants in Balochistan Operations

RAWALPINDI: (Special Reporter) – Security forces have killed 11 militants during intelligence-based operations in Panjgur and Chagai districts of Balochistan under Operation Radd-ul-Fitna-III, according to security sources.

Sources said five militants were killed during an operation in Panjgur, while weapons and ammunition were also recovered from their possession.

In a separate operation in the Ameenabad and Sia Chang areas of Chagai, security forces eliminated six more militants and recovered a significant quantity of weapons and explosives.

Security forces have reiterated their resolve to continue operations against militant groups until the threat is completely eliminated.

Meanwhile, at least 21 people, including 15 police personnel, were martyred and more than 34 others injured in a suicide attack at a mosque inside Old Police Lines in Kohat on Friday.

According to security sources, four of the injured were in critical condition and were shifted to Peshawar for further medical treatment.

Following the explosion, seven militants attempted to enter the Police Lines after detonating explosives and opening indiscriminate fire. Police personnel responded immediately and offered strong resistance, preventing the attackers from advancing further.

Mohsin Naqvi praises security forces

Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has praised the security forces for their successful operations against militants in Panjgur and Chagai, in which 11 militants were killed.

Naqvi said all state institutions in Balochistan remain committed to ensuring peace and stability in the province. He added that security and law-enforcement agencies are continuing efforts to counter security threats and protect the public.

The interior minister also appreciated the courage and professionalism demonstrated by the security forces during the operations.

He said the nation was proud of the security forces for taking effective action against militants in Balochistan.

Naqvi further said the campaign against groups involved in violence would continue with the support of the people, stressing that cooperation between citizens and state institutions was essential for maintaining peace and law and order.
