Sania Saeed Reveals Struggle With Aap Ki Izzat Role

ISLAMABAD: (Showbiz Desk) – Veteran Pakistani actress Sania Saeed has opened up about the emotional challenges she faced while portraying her character in the popular drama serial Aap Ki Izzat, revealing that she initially did not want to take on the role.

During a recent podcast appearance, a clip from which has been circulating on social media, the acclaimed actress spoke candidly about her character and the difficulty she experienced while trying to understand her mindset.

Sania said she repeatedly expressed her reluctance to play the character because she found her attitude toward Beena, the woman married to her son, deeply frustrating. According to Sania, the character views Beena primarily as someone who should serve the family, support her husband and help build a successful and peaceful life for him, with little consideration for her own identity and emotions.

The actress said she struggled to understand the idea of bringing another person into one’s life with the expectation that they would simply fulfill a predetermined role.

Sania described the experience as emotionally triggering, saying that her discomfort with the character was one of the reasons she initially refused the part.

She also explained that actors can sometimes be affected by the very characters they are preparing to portray. In her case, learning about the character’s mindset itself became an emotional challenge that she had to overcome before stepping into the role.

Sania also spoke about her co-star Urwa Hocane, who plays Beena in the drama. She said it was important for both actresses to understand each other’s emotional experiences, especially because Urwa’s character was also facing a difficult and toxic family environment.
