Dandot Cement Finalises Financing For Waste Heat Plant

Dandot Cement Boosts Efficiency With New Waste Heat Recovery Plant

LAHORE: (Finance Reporter) – Dandot Cement Company Limited (PSX: DNCC) has finalised financing arrangements for its Waste Heat Recovery (WHR) Plant, marking another step in the company’s efforts to improve production efficiency and reduce its environmental footprint.

The company has established Letters of Credit (LCs) with Sinoma Energy Conservation Limited for the supply, installation and commissioning of the plant.

Dandot Cement disclosed the development to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) as material information in accordance with the PSX Rule Book and the Securities Act, 2015.

The planned WHR facility will recover heat from exhaust gases generated by the kiln and clinker cooler. Instead of allowing this energy to escape into the atmosphere, the system will convert the recovered heat into steam and captive electricity.

The project is expected to reduce the company’s dependence on fossil fuels while lowering emissions intensity and improving overall energy efficiency.

The investment forms part of Dandot Cement’s wider modernisation and sustainability programme, aimed at improving operational performance while advancing its environmental, social and governance (ESG) objectives.

By recovering energy that would otherwise be wasted, the project is expected to support both the company’s environmental targets and long-term cost efficiency.
