Pakistan’s PUBG Mobile Team Eyes Esports World Cup Glory

ISLAMABAD: (Sports Desk) – Pakistan’s PUBG Mobile team, Four Thrives, has arrived in Paris to compete in the grand final of the 2026 Esports World Cup, marking a major moment for the country’s growing esports scene.

Pakistan’s Ambassador to France, Mumtaz Zahra Baloch, met the team members in Paris and congratulated them on securing a place in the prestigious final.

During the meeting, the players told the ambassador that their strong showing in the qualifying stage had helped them earn a spot among the world’s leading teams. They also expressed their excitement about competing against top international players in the final.

Baloch praised Four Thrives for their dedication and performance, wishing the team success in the tournament. She said the Pakistani nation was proud of their achievement and expressed hope that the players would lift the trophy in Paris and bring further recognition to the country.

The 2026 Esports World Cup is being hosted in Paris for the first time, bringing together more than 2,000 players from 200 clubs representing 100 countries.

Four Thrives will now face some of the world’s strongest esports teams as Pakistan seeks to strengthen its presence on the international competitive gaming stage.
