FIFA Withdraws Forward Enterprise Project After Member Opposition

FIFA President Shelves Forward Enterprise Project Following Divisions Among Members

Zurich: (Sports Desk0 –FIFA has officially withdrawn its proposed Forward Enterprise project after concluding that the initiative had created significant divisions among member associations and football stakeholders.

In a statement, FIFA President Gianni Infantino said the project was originally designed to strengthen FIFA member associations, particularly in countries requiring greater financial and structural support. He stressed that the proposal was always intended to move forward only with broad backing and extensive consultation.

Infantino said feedback from member associations, the FIFA Council, confederations, and other stakeholders made it clear that continuing with the project would no longer serve its original purpose of uniting and developing global football.

The FIFA president confirmed the proposal will not proceed and pledged to resume discussions with all stakeholders in the coming weeks to find a united path toward growing the game, especially in developing football nations.
