PML-N Issues Tickets for 37 AJK Seats

According to a formal notification issued on the recommendations of the party’s Parliamentary Board, candidates have been nominated across key regions, including Mirpur, Bhimber, Kotli, Poonch, Muzaffarabad, Neelum, Haveli, and refugee constituencies based in Pakistan.

The selection process was completed following a series of consultations and meetings led by the party’s senior leadership. The final list includes experienced politicians, influential regional figures, and emerging political leaders.

Former AJK prime minister Raja Farooq Haider Khan has been awarded the party ticket for LA-32 Chikar, a constituency widely regarded as his political stronghold.

Meanwhile, AJK Opposition Leader Shah Ghulam Qadir will contest from both LA-25 Upper Neelum and LA-26 Lower Neelum constituencies.

Senior party leader Chaudhry Tariq Farooq has been nominated from LA-07 Bhimber City, while several other prominent figures have also secured tickets in strategically important constituencies.

Among the refugee seats based in Pakistan, Raja Muhammad Siddique will contest from LA-39 Jammu-6, while Muhammad Ahmed Raza Qadri has been nominated for LA-44 Valley-5.

The announcement formally launches PML-N’s election campaign in Azad Jammu and Kashmir, where political parties are expected to engage in an intense contest for control of the legislative assembly.

Party leaders have expressed confidence in their candidates and election strategy, aiming to secure a strong mandate in the upcoming polls.

The AJK Legislative Assembly elections are scheduled to take place on July 27, with political activity expected to intensify across the region in the coming weeks.
