Karachi Resident Hurt After Handling Suspected Pen Bomb Device

KARACHI: (Web Desk) – A man was injured in an explosion near Malir Cantonment in Karachi after allegedly handling a suspected pen bomb, prompting authorities to launch an investigation into the incident.

According to police sources, the injured individual was identified as Abdul Samie, son of Nasir. The blast reportedly occurred when the explosive device was picked up or handled, causing injuries to the civilian.

Following the explosion, Abdul Samie was shifted to Patel Hospital in Gulshan-e-Iqbal at around 7pm, where he was admitted for medical treatment. Hospital officials confirmed that he was placed in Ward 4 and remains under care.

Police said the injured man is a resident of New Karachi. Investigators are working to determine the origin of the device and establish the circumstances surrounding the explosion.
