Iran Israel Attack Today: Both Nations Exchange Air Strikes, Rattling Ceasefire

Israel vs Iran & Lebanon – (Web Desk) – Israel launched air strikes deep inside Iran on Monday, marking a dramatic escalation in the Iran Israel attack today. Explosions were heard in three cities including the capital Tehran. The Israeli military confirmed it hit targets in western and central Iran.

The strikes came after Iran fired 11 missiles at Israel on Sunday. All were intercepted and no one was hurt. Israel called Iran’s move a grave mistake and wasted no time in hitting back.

US President Donald Trump tried to stop Israel from retaliating. He reportedly called Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and told him not to strike back. Trump said both sides had already exchanged blows and there was no need for more. But Israel went ahead anyway.

British Foreign Secretary Yvette Cooper also urged both sides to stop. She said resumed conflict between Iran & Israel serves no one’s interest and called for diplomacy to take over.

Iran had warned earlier that any new Israeli attack on Beirut would restart the war in full. Tehran struck after Israel hit a command centre in Beirut’s Dahiyeh district. That raid killed two people and wounded 20 others.

Iran’s Revolutionary Guards described their missile attack as a warning. They said if Israel strikes again, the response will be far bigger and will target all US and Israeli assets in the region.

The crisis also pushed oil prices higher. The Strait of Hormuz, a key route for global oil and gas, remains shut due to the conflict. Markets reacted with concern as the situation grew worse.

Pakistan is playing a role in trying to bring both sides to the table. Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi visited Tehran carrying a special letter from Pakistan’s army chief for Iran’s supreme leader. Pakistan’s military chief has been actively mediating between Iran and the United States.

Iran’s chief negotiator said the US-Iran talks are deadlocked. He called on Trump to release around 24 billion dollars in frozen Iranian assets. Trump refused, saying Iran must show good behaviour before any money is released.

Ordinary Iranians are feeling the pressure. A fitness trainer from Ahvaz told reporters that life feels like a joke and that people are simply trying to survive amid rising prices and constant uncertainty.
