Trump Slams House Vote Amid Iran Negotiations

In a post on Truth Social, Trump argued that the resolution was introduced while his administration was engaged in critical negotiations aimed at ending the conflict and restoring regional stability. He suggested that lawmakers backing the measure undermined sensitive diplomatic discussions with Tehran.

The House approved the largely symbolic resolution by a narrow margin, with several Republican lawmakers joining Democrats in support. Although the measure represents a political setback for Trump, it would still require Senate approval and could be vetoed by the president.

Meanwhile, efforts to secure a broader agreement between Washington and Tehran remain deadlocked. US officials continue to insist that Iran curb its nuclear activities, surrender highly enriched uranium stockpiles, and support the reopening of the strategically important Strait of Hormuz.
