Police Bust Impersonation Attempt in Punjab’s Jhelum District
Jhelum: (Web Desk) – In Jhelum, police have arrested a woman for allegedly impersonating the chairperson of the Punjab Chief Minister’s Complaint Cell and attempting to secure official protocol and privileges.
According to a spokesperson for Jhelum Police, the accused, identified as Mehnaaz Saeed, reportedly introduced herself to local police as the head of the complaint cell and demanded protocol arrangements and government facilities.
Upon verification, authorities contacted the Punjab Chief Minister’s Complaint Cell, which denied any association with the woman, confirming that she held no official position.
Following confirmation of the alleged impersonation, police arrested Mehnaaz Saeed along with an accomplice and registered a case against her.
Officials also reported that alcohol was recovered from the suspect’s vehicle during the operation.
Further investigation is underway to determine the extent of the impersonation attempt and any potential misuse of authority.
