Deadly land dispute shooting kills five in Nowshera
ISLAMABAD: (Web Desk) – Five people, including four brothers, were killed in a firing incident in Nowshera on Tuesday, reportedly triggered by a long-standing land dispute..
Police said the attack took place in the Mian Esa area, where unidentified armed men opened fire on the victims near disputed land located opposite their residence. All attackers fled the scene after the incident.
Rescue and police teams reached the site soon after the incident was reported and shifted the bodies to the District Headquarters Hospital in Nowshera for post-mortem examination.

Authorities confirmed that the violence stemmed from a property dispute, though investigations are ongoing to determine further details and identify those responsible.
In a similar earlier incident in April 2026, five people were killed in an exchange of fire between two groups over a land dispute allegedly linked to illegal gold mining in the Nizampur area of the same district, highlighting ongoing tensions over property-related conflicts in the region.
