CDF Asim Munir Warns Against Future Aggression Towards Pakistan

Field Marshal Asim Munir Issues Strong Warning Against Future Aggression

RAWALPINDI: (Web Desk) – Chief of Defence Forces Syed Asim Munir stated that Pakistan would never compromise on its sovereignty, territorial integrity, or national honour, warning that any future aggression against the country would trigger severe and long-lasting consequences. He made these remarks while addressing a major ceremony at General Headquarters in Rawalpindi on Sunday to commemorate the first anniversary of Marka-e-Haq.

Beginning his speech with a Quranic recitation, Field Marshal Asim Munir described the occasion as a symbol of national pride, saying Pakistan had repeatedly defeated enemy miscalculations. He termed Marka-e-Haq a battle of ideologies rather than a conventional military confrontation and claimed India’s attempts to alter the regional balance through military and diplomatic pressure had failed against Pakistan’s resilience.

The army chief said Pakistan emerged victorious during Marka-e-Haq and responded effectively to Indian military actions. Referring to “Operation Bunyan-un-Marsoos,” he stated that Pakistan, its people, and the armed forces achieved historic success through unity and determination. He paid tribute to martyrs, veterans, and civilians, including women, children, and elderly citizens who lost their lives during the conflict.

Field Marshal Asim Munir claimed India suffered significant human and financial losses and said the impact would continue in the coming years. He revealed that Fatah missile systems and Pakistan Air Force fighter pilots successfully targeted more than 26 enemy military installations during the operation. According to him, Pakistan’s defense system is fully prepared to counter any future external threat.

Discussing the future of warfare, the CDF said modern conflicts increasingly involve multi-domain operations, including drones, cyber warfare, artificial intelligence, and long-range weapon systems. He announced the establishment of a Defence Forces Headquarters aimed at modernizing Pakistan’s armed forces according to evolving strategic requirements.

The field marshal also called Pakistan’s strategic mutual defense agreement with Saudi Arabia an important diplomatic milestone. The ceremony at GHQ was attended by Chief of Air Staff Zaheer Ahmed Babar Sidhu and Chief of Naval Staff Naveed Ashraf. During the event, military leadership laid floral wreaths at Yadgar-e-Shuhada and offered Fateha, while tri-services contingents presented ceremonial salutes.

Field Marshal Asim Munir further said Pakistan continues to support regional peace through responsible and neutral diplomacy, while accusing India of returning to terrorism after failing to succeed in conventional conflict. He urged Afghanistan to eliminate terrorist sanctuaries operating from its territory and praised the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan, along with the armed forces and law enforcement agencies, for their sacrifices in the fight against terrorism.

The army chief vowed that every innocent Pakistani’s blood would be avenged and reaffirmed that operations against militants would continue until terrorism was completely eradicated. He also reiterated Pakistan’s political, diplomatic, and moral support for the people of Kashmir, adding that the country would continue standing beside Kashmiris on every platform.

Concluding his address, Field Marshal Asim Munir said Pakistan’s people are the nation’s greatest strength and that the armed forces draw their power from public support. He expressed confidence that Pakistan would remain unconquerable in the future just as it had remained resilient in the past.
