Lahore court adjourns Rajab Butt case hearing

Rajab Butt Case Hearing Postponed By Lahore Court

LAHORE: (Web Desk) – Proceedings in a case involving allegations by Ayesha Sharafat against social media personality Rajab Butt and other accused were adjourned on Wednesday by a district court in Lahore.

The hearing was conducted by Additional Sessions Judge Yasir Arafat, who postponed the matter until April 27 after formal charges could not be framed at this stage.

The delay came as both the prosecution and defence requested more time to present their arguments before the court.

Defence counsel Rana Maroof opposed the framing of charges, arguing that the accusations lack sufficient evidence and that his clients have been wrongly implicated in the case.

On the other hand, the complainant’s legal team also sought additional time to prepare, which the court granted, leading to the adjournment.

All accused, including Rajab Butt, appeared before the court alongside the complainant during the hearing.

According to records submitted by Nawab Town Police, the case involves serious allegations, while one of the suspects, Salman Haider, has been declared absconding.
