Muneeba Ali scores third straight fifty as Invincibles win by six wickets

Muneeba Ali's brilliant 90 and Sidra Amin's cool unbeaten 75 steal the show as Invincibles and Stars both win by six wickets in Lahore.

Women’s T20 Tournament 2025-26 – (Web Desk) – Muneeba Ali was simply unstoppable. The left-handed batter smashed her third half-century in a row, scoring 90 off just 55 balls with 16 boundaries, and carried Invincibles to a comfortable six-wicket win over Strikers.

Strikers batted first and put up a decent 161 for seven in 20 overs. Aliya Riaz was their best batter on the day, scoring 47 off 28 balls with six fours and a six. Sadaf Shamas chipped in with 33 while Dua Majid made a quick 30 at the top of the order.

But Invincibles had Muneeba and that was enough. She opened the innings alongside Gull Feroza and the two added 60 runs together. Then Muneeba joined hands with Iram Javed and the pair put on 94 more. Iram finished unbeaten on 34. Invincibles crossed the line with nine balls still remaining.

Spinner Momina Riasat was the pick of the bowlers earlier, taking three wickets. Saima Malik also bowled well for her two wickets.

Stars had a shaky start but Sidra Amin held the innings together beautifully. She walked in when Stars were struggling at 17 for three and never looked back.

Sidra first put on 77 runs with Huraina Sajjad who made a useful 23. Then she and captain Tuba Hassan added an unbeaten 63 for the fifth wicket to seal the chase. Sidra finished on 75 not out off 49 balls, hitting nine fours and a six. Tuba smashed an unbeaten 35 off just 19 balls. Stars chased down 157 with three overs to spare for their third win of the tournament.

Earlier Challengers scored 156 before being bowled out in 20 overs. Natalia Pervaiz top scored with a fine 58 off 37 balls. Eyman Fatima also contributed 35. Ayesha Rehman was brilliant with the ball, returning figures of three for 10.

Two matches are scheduled at 10am. Conquerors face Challengers at Bagh-e-Jinnah while Stars take on Strikers at Ghani Glass Cricket Ground.
