Massive fire sweeps through Lunda Bazaar, destroying 26 shops in Pattoki

Blaze Guts 26 Shops in Pattoki Market, Rescue 1122 Battles Flames Before More Damage

Lunda Bazaar Pattoki – (Web Desk) – A devastating fire tore through Lunda Bazaar in Pattoki, turning around 26 shops into rubble and ash. The blaze consumed everything in its path — from bundles of shoes and pre-loved clothing to various other goods that traders had stocked up.

As soon as the alarm was raised, a swift response team from Rescue 1122 rushed to the scene, arriving with an ambulance and six firefighting vehicles. Together, they worked tirelessly to get the flames under control before the destruction could spread further.

Rescue officials confirmed that a faulty electrical connection triggered the fire. Even after the flames were put out, teams stayed on the ground to carry out the cooling process and ensure no embers reignited.

This is not the first time Pattoki has faced such a tragedy. Just a few weeks earlier, in March 2026, a massive blaze had engulfed a trailer packed with cotton bales in the same city — raising serious concerns about fire safety measures in the area.

Due to a fire, all the cotton bales worth millions of rupees were destroyed. The cause of the fire is still unknown.

Soon after receiving the report, two Rescue 1122 fire vehicles rushed to the spot, began operations, and brought the fire under control.

Later, the Rescue 1122 teams started the cooling process. No loss of life was reported from the site so far
