Cathay Pacific halts Dubai and Riyadh flights until April 30
Cathay Pacific pauses Middle East flights as safety fears grow and travel plans change
Hong Kong – (Web Desk) – Hong Kong airline Cathay Pacific has stopped its flights to and from Dubai and Riyadh until the end of April. This decision comes because of the ongoing war in the Middle East.
The airline said the situation in the region is still changing. So, all flights on these routes will remain suspended until April 30, 2026. It also shared that more changes to flight schedules may happen in the coming days.
Cathay Pacific said passengers do not need to worry about extra charges. People can change their flights, choose a different route, or get a refund without paying any fee.
The airline had already stopped these flights earlier in March. Now, it has extended that suspension for a longer time due to safety concerns.
The company doubled fuel surcharges this month for most of its routes as oil prices have been driven up by the war.
Hong Kong Airlines also increased its fuel surcharge on Tuesday for a second time in just over a week.

Cathay previously said extra flights to Europe would be operated in March to cater for an upsurge in demand.
It also noted a “general increase” in demand from other regions, particularly for long-haul flights, with travellers looking for alternatives to routes that rely heavily on Middle Eastern hubs.
