Iranian Foreign Minister Urges Western Officials to Oppose War
Resignation Highlights Growing Dissent Over Iran Conflict Worldwide
TEHRAN: (Web Desk) – Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi warned on Wednesday that the ongoing conflict in the Middle East will have widespread global consequences, urging more Western officials to speak out against the war. Posting on X, Araghchi said, “Wave of global repercussions has only begun and will hit all — regardless of wealth, faith, or race,” referencing the resignation of Joseph Kent, who stepped down on Tuesday in protest against the conflict.

Araghchi highlighted that several European and US officials have described the war on Iran as unjust, and encouraged more members of the international community to take a similar stance. Kent, appointed under the Donald Trump administration, stated, “I cannot in good conscience support the ongoing war in Iran,” signaling growing dissent within US national security circles over the conflict.
