Salman Khan considers comic-style superhero film with Raj & DK
MUMBAI (Web Desk) – Salman Khan is reportedly considering a new creative direction in his career with a comic-book style superhero film, as the Bollywood star resumes work after briefly pausing a shoot due to concerns over his father’s health.
According to media reports, the 60-year-old actor is in early discussions with filmmaker duo Raj & DK for a high-concept superhero comedy blending action with humour. The project would mark Khan’s first attempt at portraying a comic-style superhero on screen.
Sources say the story revolves around a weary superhero who wants to retire after years of saving the world and battling villains. The character reportedly combines traditional action sequences with light-hearted comedy, a tone the filmmakers believe fits Khan’s larger-than-life screen persona.
Khan is said to have responded positively to the idea but has asked the creators to present a complete screenplay before making a final decision. Reports suggest the project could be finalised in April after further discussions.
The development comes shortly after Khan temporarily stepped away from an ongoing shoot when his father, legendary screenwriter Salim Khan, fell ill. The actor reportedly rushed to be with his family during the health scare.

Fortunately, Salim Khan’s condition improved, allowing the actor to return to work. Khan has since resumed filming and has been seen interacting with his team on set, reassuring fans that things are back on track.
A dominant figure in Bollywood for more than three decades, Salman Khan built his reputation through blockbuster hits and iconic roles in Indian cinema.
However, some of his recent films, including Sikandar and Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan, received mixed reactions from critics and audiences.
Despite these challenges, Khan remains one of the industry’s most influential actors and continues exploring new ideas to refresh his on-screen image.
