MEPCO collects 1.16 billion rupees from defaulters in February
Multan: (Our Correspondent)- MEPCO recovered over ₨1.16 billion from more than 53,000 defaulters in South Punjab during February, Chief Executive Officer Gull Muhammad Zahid confirmed.
Operations targeted domestic, commercial, agricultural tubewell, and industrial defaulters. Joint teams of MEPCO, Rangers, and Police conducted 53,131 recovery drives, reclaiming dues ranging from one month up to three years. Out of the total recovered, ₨73 million were deposited in the government treasury.

Chief Engineer Customer Services Syed Jawad Mansoor added that 44,567 household defaulters cleared their outstanding bills during February, highlighting the effectiveness of the coordinated enforcement efforts.
The campaign reflects MEPCO’s commitment to improving revenue collection and ensuring timely electricity payments across the South Punjab region.
