Security tightened in Karachi amid Pak-Afghan border tensions

Karachi security tightened after Pak-Afghan border tensions; police deployed with high alert, weapons, and bulletproof gear for public safety.

Shahr-e-Quaid, Karachi – (Web Desk) – Security has been increased in Shahr-e-Quaid, Karachi, following tensions along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border. Authorities have deployed personnel at key locations across the city.

DIG Traffic Pir Muhammad Shah has instructed all traffic police officers to remain alert and vigilant. Officers on duty are required to wear bulletproof jackets to ensure their safety.

He added that, given the current situation, the force is fully prepared to handle any internal disturbances. High alert measures have been implemented to maintain smooth traffic operations and respond effectively to any emergency.

All officers and personnel will be required to wear bulletproof jackets while on duty.

Every police constable will have a 9mm pistol with full ammunition.

At least one submachine gun will be available with each duty point or group of officers deployed in a mobile squad.

No officer will be given duty in a lonely, unsafe or dark place.

All officers will ensure effective communication and wireless communication is active and the control room has been kept active and alert.

All zonal DSPs, section officers and duty supervisory officers will ensure the presence of personnel in the field and availability of weapons.

Protection of life and property of citizens and uninterrupted flow of traffic system is the top priority.
