Field Marshal, Service Chiefs Reaffirm National Security Commitment
Military leaders honor Operation Swift Retort heroes, reaffirm strong commitment to Pakistan’s security, peace, and readiness against all threats.
Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir – (Web Desk) – On the 7th anniversary of Operation Swift Retort, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Staff, along with Admiral Naveed Ashraf, Chief of the Naval Staff, and Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu, Chief of the Air Staff, paid tribute to the bravery, professionalism, and sacrifices of Pakistan’s armed forces personnel.
In a statement issued by ISPR on Friday, the military leadership recalled that Operation Swift Retort, launched on 27 February 2019, was carried out in response to India’s unprovoked aggression. They said the operation reflected Pakistan’s firm resolve to protect its sovereignty and national interests.
The statement further highlighted that the operation demonstrated the Armed Forces’ high level of preparedness and operational capability, successfully deterring further escalation and restoring strategic stability in the region.
