Sindh Revenue Collection Sees Strong Growth Across Key Sectors

KARACHI: (Web Desk) – The Sindh Revenue Board (SRB) annual report for fiscal year 2024-25 revealed a significant increase in revenue collection, with total receipts rising by Rs300 billion compared to the previous year.

The report, presented in the Sindh Assembly, stated that total receivables of the SRB reached Rs306.6 billion, with Rs284.4 billion collected under the sales tax on services. During June 2025 alone, Rs40.5 billion was collected, reflecting a growth rate of 29.5 percent compared to the same period in the previous fiscal year.

Sectors driving the revenue growth included ports, airports, and terminal operators, which remained the largest contributors. The telecommunications sector followed closely, while the banking sector saw a 27 percent increase in receivables.

The software and IT consultancy sector achieved 49 percent growth, and the transportation sector recorded a 50 percent increase. Funds and asset management saw a remarkable 162 percent growth, while the insurance and franchise sectors also reported positive gains, highlighting a broad-based increase across multiple industries.

Officials emphasized that the consistent growth reflects both the SRB’s enhanced collection mechanisms and the overall expansion of the province’s economic activities.
