Libyan Leaders Hold Talks with PM Shehbaz Sharif on Cooperation
Islamabad: (Web Desk) – A high-level Libyan delegation called on Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif at the Prime Minister’s House on Tuesday to discuss matters of mutual interest and enhance bilateral cooperation.
The Libyan delegation included Prime Minister Dr. Osama Saad Hamad, Field Marshal Khalifa Abu-al-Qasim Haftar, Commander-in-Chief of the Libyan Arab Armed Forces, and Lieutenant General Saddam Khalifa Haftar, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Libyan Arab Armed Forces. Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Ishaq Dar and Pakistan Army Chief Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir were also present.
During the meeting, both sides exchanged views on areas of common concern, emphasizing the importance of strengthening diplomatic, economic, and security relations. The discussions highlighted shared goals of promoting peace, stability, and development at regional and international levels.
Pakistan, Libya Reinforce Military Ties and Cooperation
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to fostering friendly ties with Libya and stressed the importance of sustained engagement and dialogue. The Libyan leadership appreciated Pakistan’s role and expressed interest in expanding cooperation between the two nations.
The meeting concluded with a mutual understanding to maintain close contact and explore avenues for future collaboration.
