Pakistan Navy Takes Command of Combined Task Force-150 in Bahrain

Islamabad (Web Desk)  – Pakistan Navy has taken over the command of Combined Task Force-150 (CTF-150) for the 14th time during a change of command ceremony at the Headquarters of Combined Maritime Forces (CMF) in Bahrain. Commodore Muhammad Yasir Tahir assumed command from Commodore Fahad S. Al Joaid of the Royal Saudi Naval Forces (RSNF).

Addressing attendees, Commodore Tahir affirmed that his team is fully prepared to uphold the prestigious responsibility and contribute to maritime security and stability in the region. He emphasized Pakistan Navy’s commitment to countering illicit maritime activities and safeguarding critical sea lines of communication.

CTF-150 is one of five task forces operating under CMF, with a mission to deter and disrupt non-state actors involved in trafficking weapons, narcotics, and other illegal goods across the Indian Ocean, Arabian Sea, and Gulf of Oman. Pakistan Navy’s successful anti-narcotics operations during the RSNF’s tenure underscore its dedication to regional peace and security through collaborative maritime efforts.

Two Pakistan Navy Officers Promoted to Rear Admiral

The ceremony was attended by Pakistan’s Ambassador to Bahrain, H.E. Saqib Rauf; Commander CMF, Vice Admiral Curt A. Renshaw; Commander Royal Bahrain Naval Forces, Rear Admiral Ahmed Mohamed Ebrahim Al Bin Ali; and representatives of several other navies operating under CMF.
