Two Pakistan Navy Officers Promoted to Rear Admiral and Awarded Sitara-i-Imtiaz
Islamabad: (Web Desk) – The Pakistan Navy has promoted two of its Commodores to the rank of Rear Admiral in recognition of their distinguished service.
Rear Admiral Javed Zia, commissioned in the Weapon Engineering Branch in 1994, is a graduate of the Pakistan Navy War College, Lahore, and the National Defence University, Islamabad, and holds a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from NUST. Throughout his naval career, he has held several key appointments and is currently serving as Deputy Chief of Naval Staff (Materiel) at Naval Headquarters, Islamabad.

Rear Admiral Armaghan Ahmad, commissioned in the Marine Engineering Branch in 1994, also graduated from the Pakistan Navy War College, Lahore, and the National Defence University, Islamabad. He holds a Master of Science in Manufacturing System Engineering & Management from NUST. He has served in several pivotal roles during his career and is presently the Managing Director of Dockyard, Karachi.
