Injury-Hit Australia Include New Faces for Pakistan T20 Tour

SYDNEY: (Web Desk) –  Australia have named a 17-member squad for their upcoming T20I tour of Pakistan as preparations intensify for the T20 World Cup. The squad will miss several key players, with Pat Cummins, Josh Hazlewood and Tim David ruled out due to injury.

Selectors confirmed the trio have been granted additional recovery time to ensure full fitness ahead of the global tournament. The squad features fresh talent from the Big Bash League, including Perth Scorchers’ young fast bowler Mahli Beardman and Sydney Sixers all-rounder Jack Edwards.

Although neither has made an international debut yet, both were part of Australia’s white-ball setup during the recent series against India. Pakistan and Australia will face off in a three-match T20I series, all scheduled to be played in Lahore.
